Night Bloom

I’ve told you before about The Face Shop’s PK102, my preferred pale polish I use for my fingernails. This, on the other hand is Bobbie’s Night Bloom, the deep shade I found perfect for my nails.

From the bottle it looks like a deeper maroon, but when it hits the light it looks purplish. Upon first swipe it will look like crushed duhat, with another swipe, cranberries and with another, like the topping of blueberry cheesecake. And now I’m craving for blueberry cheesecake.

It’s my absolute favorite. I love it not just because it heavily contrasts the color of my skin, but also because I feel super tough when I wear it. And it complements anything I wear.

The Grass is Green

Today, I turn another year older. I just want to thank God for giving me life. I want to thank Him for all the blessings he endowed me: my family, friends, all my loved ones, even our pets at home. Plus the fact that He never lets me go hungry any day of the week, and that He gives me the strength to go to work every day in order for me to have the things I need and want.

Thrifted tank top and denim blouse, a necklace from Papemelroti, a hand-me-down skirt from my aunt, blue Ferretti wedges

And here are just some of the people I <3!

Four heads are better than one!

Gone Retro

One day, out of sheer boredom, Mia and I had a photo shoot. Truth is, I wanted to play with the flash of my Diana Mini and she wanted to road test her new awesome tripod. And to make it more fun, Mia told me that we're going retro. How fun indeed!

With a little bit (or plenty, doesn't really matter which) of tweaking, here are the results!

You couldn't really see it here, but I was wearing high-waist shorts and a pink checkered button-up blouse. The sunglasses were a gift. You'll see more of the shorts in the following post.

sunglasses - a gift, Tomato
blue wedges - Ferretti

I wanna thank Mia again for cooking up this crazy shoot. I really enjoyed doing this with her and I'm sure we'll be doing it again. Do visit her blogs, All About Filters and The Modern Gabriela Silang. I'm sure you'll be inspired with her photos.
