Decisions, Decisions

My eldest cousin will be getting married this December, and although I’m not really a part of the wedding entourage, I’ve been raring to have a dress made especially for that occasion. I’m just so excited because this will be the first wedding of our generation. Every time I go to their wedding website and listen to their playlist, I always feel tears welling up in my eyes.

Another reason for my excitement is because it’s been years since I attended a wedding! The last one I went to was more than ten years ago. I was a kid then, and I didn’t really care about what I’d wear as I’d much rather stay at home.  This time around I’m still a kid but I do want to experiment with my clothes. :P

For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to have a one-shoulder dress and the wedding seemed like the perfect occasion to wear one. So I looked for the dress like the one I had in mind and chanced upon a one shoulder Halston Heritage.

It was perfect! It was something uncommon yet modern, and something decent enough to be worn at a church wedding. I immediately thought of fabrics and colors that I could have the dress sewn with. My mind was already at ease.

Until this happened.

I wasn’t of thinking of a 50’s dress! In fact I was only googling for images of casual wear during the 50’s. And this suddenly caught my eye. I began to rethink my decision with the one shoulder dress. Just look at those polka dots! And that cinched waist. Not to mention that this is more unusual and appropriate compared to a one shoulder dress, where more skin is exposed. Teeheehee, perhaps I am just making excuses.

Ugh, I have to make a decision soon. But for the meantime, can anyone help me decide?
