Pineapple
The first time I wore this dress, someone commented that I looked like a pineapple. I wasn't really offended by that person's comment. In fact I was amused with the thought of looking like a pineapple. The next time I wear this dress I'm gonna put my hair up in a (spiky) bun to make it look more convincing.
I think this dress makes me look like a real dalagang Filipina

Reappearance
So after breakfast, we freshened up a bit and then rode on a van to explore Baguio. But before I get to that in a separate post, here's what I wore:
The problem with sporadic posts is that a piece of clothing can make another reappearance just after a few posts ago. But that just goes to show how much I love it, as I've said before. :)
And if I do say so myself, this is just the right outfit, AND the perfect day, when exploring Baguio.

Caught Red-legged
Here's a break from all the blue outfits I've been posting.
Accidental finds are perhaps those that end up being worn the most. This particular pair of red jeans are among my accidental thrifting finds, together with the maxidress in the previous post. I didn't really want to buy pants but these were too special to let go compared with the skirt I was planning to purchase. Probably because of the number of outfits that ran through my head when I saw them. Yes, life's like that.

We're on our way home
This was what I wore on our way home from our outing at Stilts in Batangas. I was so eager to have my picture taken while the sun was setting.
The dress, by the way, was a last minute thrift. I was waiting for my friend to come out from the fitting room, and to kill time I went around the store one last time. I saw this dress and I had to leave a skirt that I was planning to buy.

Sea and Sky
Before the summer ended, a couple of people from my division, including me, went on a day trip to Stilts Beach Resort in Calatagan, Batangas. The place is really charming, with multicolored plants and flowers eagerly saying hello at the entrance. And the day was just perfect with the sea frothy and the sky just staying a nice shade of blue. But what I’m so happy about is that I was able to make new summer memories (this was my only getaway during this summer) together with some of the coolest people I have ever known. :D
The photos, by the way, are only a few of the many photos taken by my very talented colleagues, Loreto Capucao and Neil Dalanon. And before I end this post, here's a video of our trip made by Neil. Do check out his site to see more of his wonderful videos!

And I say hello
On this quiet Sunday night I am going to take the opportunity to catch up on some blogging. I’ve been gone for more than a month. Whew! I shall keep my reasons for not being able to blog to myself, though. Hi hi! Anyway here are a few updates on what has been happening to my 2012, style-wise.
1. Before 2011 ended I got myself a pair of shoes from Asianvogue. I’ve been getting acquainted with this pair but only managed to take shots for one particular outfit. I wore this at the office when we were allowed to wear anything but the uniform.

I do love them! They might look painful and difficult to maneuver but I once wore them through a one hour mass without sitting down. The platforms make them quite comfortable.
2. A fortune cookie once told me “A refreshing change is in your future.” I’m not one to disagree with a fortune cookie so mid-January, I got a perm. The big waves are perfect for the beach. I just hope they don’t get too straight before summer comes.

These were taken when my cousin and some of her classmates asked me again to be their subject for a photography class project. Happy to oblige!
3. I just watched the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo yesterday! I’m actually a big fan of the Millennium book series. So what’s its connection to me style-wise? Nothing perhaps, but I love Lisbeth Salander and I love Rooney Mara (as I’ve mentioned before in my other blog). I wish I can dress as wicked as Lisbeth in the movie and as chic as Rooney in real life.
If only I can walk the streets of Manila dressed like this
she looks like she's wearing a Filipiniana
My sense of style has become quite random, no?

Earth and Stone
I’m not a model (and far from being one) but I sure felt like it when Mia and another colleague of mine had a photo shoot last Saturday. The weather was fortunately cooperative, just the right amount of sunny and windy. With that and a huge dose of laughter and silly stories, everything went perfectly well.
Here are just some of the photos Mia took:
The theme was bohemian, by the way.
Remember Tin? She was the one I did the shoot with. She looks like a pro!
Spot the UFO! :D
Everything looks so green and earthy.

The shoot was a lot of fun! Yes it was an outfit-of-the-day shoot for me but perhaps taken a notch higher. I just wish I could always have my pictures taken at places like these, and always have Mia as my photographer. Do visit her blog to be inspired with her photography and stories.

Filipino All Stars
I'm a fan of America's Next Top Model. It's just good reality TV fun! So when I learned that Michael Cinco+Bench Body will be making an appearance on the show, I got even more excited. One of my favorite TV shows plus familiar faces/brands from the Philippines were always good!
Filipino pride all the way!
Catch ANTM: All Stars on ETC later at 9:00 pm and on Sunday at 7:00 pm.

Four Seasons
Tin, Judith, yours truly, and Liza
It looked like winter, spring, summer, and fall at the office on one particularly sunny day. It was actually a holiday but we had to squeeze in work. Little did I know that I wasn't the only one who was planning to dress up!
Tin was wearing an adorable knit coat made by her grandmother and a white dress with pompom . Judith was also in a white dress and floral-printed wedges.
Liza's summery outfit makes me want to the beach!
And that's it! I'll just tell you about what I'm wearing in the following post. :)
