My eldest cousin will be getting married this December, and although I’m not really a part of the wedding entourage, I’ve been raring to have a dress made especially for that occasion. I’m just so excited because this will be the first wedding of our generation. Every time I go to their wedding website and listen to their playlist, I always feel tears welling up in my eyes.
Another reason for my excitement is because it’s been years since I attended a wedding! The last one I went to was more than ten years ago. I was a kid then, and I didn’t really care about what I’d wear as I’d much rather stay at home. This time around I’m still a kid but I do want to experiment with my clothes. :P
For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to have a one-shoulder dress and the wedding seemed like the perfect occasion to wear one. So I looked for the dress like the one I had in mind and chanced upon a one shoulder Halston Heritage.
It was perfect! It was something uncommon yet modern, and something decent enough to be worn at a church wedding. I immediately thought of fabrics and colors that I could have the dress sewn with. My mind was already at ease.
