So happy--even if I'm the only one here wearing my costume |
It was my birthday last week and I held a party. It was supposed to be a costume party since halloween was getting near, but there were only three of us who ended up wearing our costumes. I was dressed as Minnie Mouse so I sort of became the mascot for my own party, haha. Needless to say, I still enjoyed the night. I'm just so happy that some of my friends and family were able to celebrate with me.
The girl in stripes behind me is Denise, my younger cousin/hair stylist. The other little girl behind her is Kikay, who dressed up as an adorable polar bear. |
In order to look like Minnie Mouse, I scouted thrift stores to look for her signature red polka-dotted dress. I found none. This blue puffy-sleeved polka-dotted dress was the closest to her dress I can find. As for the big bow on top of my head, I fashioned one out of a blue piece of cloth and some ribbon.
My cousin Denise fixed my hair to look like Minnie's ears while Tin, my PEEKXEL photoshoot partner in crime, did my make-up. With their help, I really felt like I was Minnie Mouse.

I know it's a bit too late but I just gotta ask: what was your costume this halloween? I'd love to know!
Nice costume Mayey! I was Hyuna, the girl from Oppa Gangnam Style. lol. I made my costume from things I already had. So fun to dress up isn't it? Belated Happy Birthday! (:
